a few of my favorite things
I often find myself scrolling through my iPhone photos, looking for a particular moment I want to show someone and one of the photos will make me stop my search. Maybe it is from three years ago, maybe even just a few months, but it's such a stark reminder of how fast time is going and how the saying is true "Babies don't keep".
Sometimes I can feel a bit "extra" when it comes to having our family photos done. If we are vacationing somewhere, we need a family session. It's a milestone birthday, we need family photos. We have a favorite place for a weekend getaway (I'm talking to you, Biltmore), you better believe we're getting family photos there.
The truth is, I'm doing everything I can to hold on to these moments. When those photos pop up on my iphone and I see my babies' gummy smiles, our first time to the movies or a memory that wasn't really important, but also was so important at the same time, it grips my heart.
